Where to find great materials?

Finding great materials for your lessons is sometimes a rather difficult chore. Here is a list of websites that I found extremely useful when I was searching for materials for this website.

1. http://learnenglishteens.britishcouncil.org/

This is one of my favorite websites! The British Council provides high level materials for every skill and offers you the possibilty to specify on CEFR level.

2. https://newsela.com/

The downside to newsela is that you have to register in order to be able to use it (and that process can be quite a chore) but they offer interresting articles that are up to date of which you can edit the level!

3. https://www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/free-english-lessons

This website doesn’t offer a lot of material but the free listening samples that they offer are really good!

4. https://busyteacher.org/

Although this website focusses mostly on younger students sometimes you can find a real hidden gem!

5. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLb4Aujw26R6FsJJ3py4ponBlBxp0UnRA

I love the “How it’s made” channel from Discovery channel. Although the English that is used is probably somewhat too difficult for your students the clear pronunciation and the video that go with it should definetly clear things up!
